Ever heard about a Man Made Sculpture Singing? England's Lancashire is a place which listens to the musical notes with the every blow of the wind.
Made up of galvanised steel pipes of different lengths stacked up in layers, aesthetic qualities and tuning, with their sound varied according to length and narrow slits are added on the underside of specific pipes. This Panopticon swirls to form the shape of a tree bending and leaning in the directions of the ongoing wind and producing a melodious Humming Sound!!!Isn't that cool!!
Tree was designed by architects Mike Tonkin and Anna Liu and was completed in 2006.Singing Ringing Tree was chosen as winner of a National Award for architectural excellence by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), in year 2007
