72 Hours in Dubai

Dubai is a glamorous city known for its skyscrapers, ports, and beaches. It is the richest city in the United Arab Emirates and that is why it is considered one of the best luxury travel destinations. People often say if you are on a budget don't even think about going to Dubai. Well, here we are with a 3-day itinerary that will be sure to make your Dubai trip adventurous, memorable and wont dig a hole in your pocket. Dubai is not all about shopping. Its also about the beautiful ocean that surrounds it. Its the sun, the waves, the adventure. Whether you are an adventure traveler, on a romantic getaway or on a family trip, there is something for everyone. Dubai is an all inclusive travel destination.

If you are planning a trip to Dubai, we recommend you do it in the winter months, preferably November to April, as Dubai has a year-round hot climate and humidity is high in the summer months. The currency in Dubai is the Dirham and notes come in the denominations of 5, 10, 20, 50, 100, 500 and 1000 Dirhams. UAE offers Visa on arrival from nearly 50 countries. Isn't that great! Where to Stay

Centro Barsha

Looking for a sophisticated yet affordable accommodation in Dubai, look no further! We recommend you stay at Centro Barsha, its highly sophisticated yet affordable. They are all set with the new social distancing norms facilitated by their 'Rotana Safe Space' program to ensure you feel safe and experience a healthy stay. They have an in-house restaurant c.taste and a bar as well - c.mondo. If you are a midnight muncher like me, worry no more, c.deli is here for you. c.deli is their 24-hour takeaway outlet where you can grab a bite and shop for groceries as well.

They also have a rooftop swimming pool from where you can enjoy the marvelous Dubai skyline while sunbathing. Feel like working out, they have a gym too and it is open 24 hour. Mall of the Emirates is walk-able from the hotel, just 500 meters. Ain't it just the perfect place to stay!

Day 1

Dubai Mall

You are in Dubai, you got to shop at least a little. Dubai Mall is the best place to do that. It is the biggest mall in Dubai. Be it fashion, jewellery or makeup, you will find the best of designers and more than 1200 brand outlets in Dubai Mall. Not only shopping, it is also the ultimate family entertainment destination. Your kids will fall in love with the enormous Dubai Aquarium and Underwater Zoo where you can take a ride on a glass bottom boat to view over 33,000 aquatic animals. You could also go cage diving with sharks!. They also have an Olympic-sized Ice Rink, and much more. Dubai fountain which is housed inside the mall is an experience in itself. Fibber Magee's

In a mood for some chicken popcorn and beer, Fibber Magee's is just the place you are looking for!! Located on the Sheikh Zayed Road, It is one of Dubai's oldest Irish pub. The atmosphere is electric and gets u charged up!! There is always something going on - be it Live Music, Sports or Standup comedy. If you have a sweet tooth just like me, don't forget to order the savory Apple Crumble!

Burj Khalifa

When you think of Dubai, you think of Burj Khalifa, the tallest building in the world, more than 160 floor magnificent structure. Located in downtown Dubai, this needle shaped skyscraper, standing 2716 feet in height, is a piece of art. You are awestruck by the sheer beauty of it!. It was named as such in honor of the president of the UAE and the ruler of Abu Dhabi, Sheikh Khalifa bin Zayed Al Nahyan who had assisted with funds for the project after the project was unveiled by Dubai's ruler Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum in January 2010.

You will need to buy the tickets for the observation deck at the top. Enjoy the Dubai skyline from the tallest building in the world. It is sure to make you instantly fall in love with the city. Italian fashion legend Giorgio Armani designed the Armani Hotel Dubai, which is housed inside the building, all 160 rooms on the 39th floor. Simple yet highly luxurious ambience will leave you spellbound.

Day 2

Spend your second day in Dubai admiring the culture, the art and the local market.

Dubai Museum

Located at the AlFahidi Fort, the Dubai Museum is sure to take you on a historic trip down the ages. The museum had served as a prison, weapon depot and garrison. You will find Swords, spears, curved daggers, arrows, pistols and axel, shield and an array of ancient weaponry on display. The courtyard houses the ancient dhows, Beduin models and the primitive homes. There is a massive collection of artifacts from the historical era. Be sure to visit the Dubai Museum to experience the early lifestyle and appreciate the transformation that Dubai has seen over the years.

Children's City

If you are planning to visit Dubai with your family be sure to take your kids to the Children's City which is UAE's first educational city in the Middle East. It contains several exhibits and programs on applied and human body sciences. There is also a nature center, Forscherwelt section , a space exploration center, an Earth Sciences Gallery, a planetarium, as well as a kid's corner. Your child will get to experience the local Dubai culture and international cultures as well. Children's City has indoor and outdoor spaces for activities and celebrations throughout the year​. It will be both an entertaining and educational experience for your kid!!

Sugaholic Bakeshop

If you have a sweet-tooth like I do, we recommend you try out the cupcakes at Sugaholic bakeshop. Started by the Indian sisters, Sneha and Ravisha Bhatia in 2012, it has fast become the favorite bakeshop for the locals. It gives a colorful and chic look, and is sweet both to your tongue and your eyes. Their Belgian chocolate cupcake and carrot cupcake is a must-try. Now more than ever we can relate with the Ernestine Ulmer quote "Life is uncertain. Eat Dessert first".

Dubai Gold Souk

A trip to Dubai isn't complete without a trip to the famous Gold Souk, one of the oldest and most fascinating markets in the emirate. It is a traditional market set at the heart of the city and is widely known all over the world for its affordable gold price. With 300 shops it seems like a small Town of Gold. A walking tour of the market will keep you dazzled for days to come!

Day 3

Spend your last day in Dubai with some adventure, the waves and the sea with thousands of kilometers of coastline calling out to you! Satiate the adventure lover inside for you with some adventure sports.

Surf House Dubai

Start your day early in the morning with surfing. Whether you’re an expert surfer or a first-timer, you can find the perfect equipment and classes you will need to get you started. You can opt in for Open Group Lessons or Private lessons. Your kids can register for a kids lesson in surfing. There is something for everyone at the Surf House. They also offer visitors the chance to SUP (Stand Up Paddle-boarding) at the stunning Sunset Beach. SUP is fast becoming a thing in Dubai. The Surf in Dubai is seasonal from October-April, so plan accordingly!!

Surf House also has a Yoga Studio. If you are not in a mood to surf you can book yourself an amazing Yoga session. Stop by for a healthy snack and coffee at their coffee shop, Single Fin Dubai! Be sure to check out their shop if you are planning on investing in surfing equipment.

DiverDown UAE

Not a surfer you say! You can choose to Dive. Start your last day in Dubai with a blast. If you love diving or wish to learn SCUBA-diving, look no further. DiverDown UAE is just what you need. They have been in business since 2002 and are famous for their top-notch PADI(Professional Association of Diving Instructors) Courses. They have a great club-like atmosphere and the best place for you to have a diving experience, specially if its your first time. If you are a PADI pro, we recommend you try out a night dive adventure with them. It will be an experience you are sure to remember for years to come!

Hanoi Naturally

Hungry yet! We all feel the need for some healthy eating while we travel. We recommend you try out some Vietnamese food for a guilt-free brunch, jam-packed with vitamins and minerals. It is the perfect food to boost your immune system and re-energize you!. Hanoi Naturally serves authentic Vietnamese cuisines and the locals here love it! Their summer rolls, packed with veg and shrimp are a must-try. It is a clean, simple and pocket friendly eatery which serves healthy and yummy food. What else do you need after the fun-filled, adventure packed morning you had?!

Spend the rest of your day admiring the beauty of palm-tree-shaped Palm Jumeirah. Visit the famous rose colored Atlantis which is magnificent.
