Apparantly, the ship was smuggling cigarettes, when the authorities chased it , right into the cove, where it ran aground. Ever since , this Giant sits on the shore slowly dimishing to ruins.

How to reach ??

Since this beauty is surrounded by near vertical cliffs , it makes it only accessible by boat taxis or by cliff top view by road

By Road : It is almost an hour by road from Zakynthos and can be reached by car, a quad bike or an beach or island tour.

Boat taxis:These generaly leave the small port of Porto Vromi every hourly and the trip is about 30 minutes.Other departure points include Agios Nikolaos, Zakynthos and Skinari.

Best time to visit:

The most popular seasons are April to October.

Its better to plan to visit either in early hours or late evenings during the Day to prevent over crowding.

How to Reach??

Praia da Dona Ana , one of the best beaches in Portugal , can be reached by foot, car ,bus or even taxi.

By Road:A car can also be booked on rent, but make sure to leave early as parking is limited.

It can also be reached by foot from centre of Lagos (2.5Km)

Best time to Visit???

July and August are the Peak seasons and eventually the crowd increases in these months.The cliff surrounding the beach protects it from cold winds thus even sunbathing is possible in winters.

How to reach??

There are only two ways to access Cala Goloritzé – by foot or by water.

By Land: It can reached by walking a trekking path from at the Su Porteddu parking which is Baunei Supramonte i.e 1 hour and a half long.

By Water: Head down to the harbour in Cala Gonone with itineraries and boats

Best time to Visit:

The best time to visit is from April to June the sea waters are warm, and the temperatures haven't yet reached . September and October offer travelers mild weather and fewer crowds.

Tip:The beach has been listed as UNESCO heritage site!
